Interview: The Sherlocks
The Sherlocks, how’re things going for you boys at the minute?
Things are full steam ahead in The Sherlocks camp at the minute. We've got a big summer ahead!
You are starting to get a real name for yourselves and selling out loads of gigs, how does that feel?
Yes, our Doncaster date sold out the other day aswell. It's a great feeling for us! The word's really spreading at the minute.
Where was your first gig and how many people turned up for that?
Our first ever gig was in a pub called Sandhill Tavern, in a village called Great Houghton. It was a great night and a free bar all night!!
What has been your favourite Sheffield gig?
Hmm, favourite Sheffield gig? That's a hard one! Every Sheffield gig is great for us. Either our sold out O2 Academy gig or our last gig at the Plug, both gigs we mental. Everyone seemed to know all the words to our tunes at the Plug gig.
Clint Boon called you ‘Cool as Fuck,’ how did you feel when you heard that?
We were over moon!! You know you are doing something right when someone like Clint digs your tunes!!
You've got a huge slot at Bingley Festival this summer, we went last year and it's a great little Festival. How did that come about and are you excited for it?
We got offered a slot, and we've taken it. It looks like a great festival and we can't wait to play it!
Finally, what other gigs do you have coming up?
We're not announcing anything yet, but we've got a big summer lined up with plenty of big festivals!
