Arctic Monkeys lead Sheffield Sweep at NME Awards '14
28th February 2014

Sheffield's finest, Arctic Monkeys, won a trio of awards at this years NME Awards. Going into the night with a staggering 8 nominations, Alex Turner and the lads may feel slightly disappointed to not have walked away with more. However, that would be doing themselves a serious injustice. Three awards at any ceremony is an impressive haul for anyone.

Winning awards for Best Album, Best Live Band and Best British Band, Arctic Monkeys again have proved themselves to be in a league of their own.

Local(ish) grunge duo Drenge also emerged victorious with the accolade of Best New Band.
